Happy October!

Yes, indeed, it’s finally Pumpkin Season (or as I prefer to call it: Pomegranate Season), and all sorts of witchly winds are starting to blow. I hope your full moon was fruitful, and that you are getting ready to turn inward and commune with spirits of all sorts.

My month kicked off magically, as I got to deliver my “Witch Pictures: Female Magic and Transgression” presentation as a guest lecturer at the New School to a Witchcraft and Feminism class last week. I also participated in New Zealand’s tremendous “Occulture: The Dark Arts” exhibition via a filmed piece at my home and a live Q&A Skype session, both of which screened at the City Gallery Wellington last week. The film will be made available online soon, and I will be sure to let you know when it’s up.

SABAT 4: ELEMENTS

I’ve been thrilled to be a contributor to every issue of the exquisite Sabat Magazine since it launched, and the next one is really something special. Sabat 4: Elements is a 5 poster, unbound booklet, with each piece focusing on one of the 5 elements. It’s part periodical, part dark art. My essay, “Dirty Divinity,” is in the Earth section, and I was honored to get to dig deep for this one. Order your copy of the Sabat 4: Elements set here.

There’s more exciting news on the horizon, so you will most likely be hearing from me again later this month. Until then, may your veils be thin, your coats thick, and your hearts full of might and magic.
